Community & Donor Engagement Manager

Position Summary

The Community and Donor Engagement Manager is a highly relational, people-facing role responsible for helping others connect deeply with the mission of Fields of Grace Ministries, located in Shiloh, GA. With a hybrid work schedule (remote and on-site), this role requires 20-40 hours a week, depending on availability. While starting part-time, the Community & Donor Engagement Manager position has the potential to grow into a full-time ministry opportunity.

This individual will build and cultivate relationships with donors, churches, community partners, volunteers, and the individuals and families we serve as Grace Guests. They should genuinely care about who we are, what we do, and the people we serve, and be able to communicate that mission naturally and authentically to others.

This person will often serve as one of the faces of Fields of Grace. Whether welcoming a Grace Guest, meeting with a potential donor, speaking with a pastor, giving someone a tour of the farm, or helping with a ministry event, they should make people feel known, valued, and connected.

Because this position works closely with both those we serve and those who support the ministry, reliability, organization, follow-through, professionalism, and genuine care for people are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

Donor Relations & Development

• Build and maintain meaningful relationships with current and prospective donors.

• Help potential donors understand the mission, needs, and impact of Fields of Grace.

• Develop intentional ways to keep donors connected to the ministry throughout the year.

• Coordinate donor visits, farm tours, meetings, appreciation opportunities, and other relationship-building experiences.

• Ensure donor communication and follow-up happen promptly and consistently.

• Identify individuals, businesses, and organizations who may have a heart for the mission and cultivate those relationships over time.

• Assist with sponsorship development for festivals, programs, and special events.

• Work alongside leadership to develop strategies for growing individual and recurring giving.

Church Partnerships

• Build relationships with pastors, ministry leaders, women's ministries, small groups, and church communities.

• Help churches understand how Fields of Grace can serve the women, caregivers, and families within their congregations.

• Develop opportunities for churches to refer individuals and families who may benefit from Fields of Grace programming.

• Invite churches to become ministry partners through financial support, volunteering, sponsorships, and other forms of involvement.

• Coordinate church visits, presentations, farm tours, and partnership conversations.

• Maintain regular communication with church partners and ensure relationships are intentionally nurtured rather than only contacted when there is a need.

Mission & Community Engagement

• Serve as an ambassador for Fields of Grace in the community.

• Clearly and authentically communicate who we are, who we serve, why the ministry exists, and the impact of the work.

• Welcome visitors and help them discover meaningful ways to become connected to the mission.

• Develop relationships with businesses, civic organizations, community leaders, and other potential partners.

• Represent Fields of Grace at community events, church gatherings, meetings, and other opportunities.

Grace Guest Care & Connection

• Interact directly with Grace Guests with warmth, compassion, discretion, and respect.

• Help create a welcoming environment where guests feel seen, cared for, and valued.

• Assist with communication surrounding programs, events, and opportunities available to Grace Guests.

• Work closely with ministry leadership to ensure Grace Guests are connected with the appropriate programs and experiences.

• Understand and protect the heart of Fields of Grace when interacting with individuals who may be walking through difficult circumstances.

Development Records & Grant Support

This position is not responsible for writing grants, but plays an important supporting role in ensuring the organization is prepared for grant opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

• Keep organizational information, program records, impact information, photographs, statistics, and other relevant documentation current and organized in Google Drive.

• Work with staff to collect information needed for grant applications and reporting.

• Ensure the grant writer has timely access to accurate and updated program and organizational information.

• Maintain records of partnerships, programs, events, and community impact that may be needed for funding applications.

• Respond promptly when the grant writer or leadership needs information or documentation.

Events & Programming

• Assist with the planning and execution of Fields of Grace programs, workshops, festivals, fundraising events, and donor experiences.

• Help create welcoming and meaningful experiences for Grace Guests, donors, churches, volunteers, and community members.

• Assist with event communication, hospitality, organization, and logistics.

• Help recruit and communicate with volunteers and community partners when needed.

• Support sponsorship relationships before, during, and after major events.

• Be willing to step into the practical needs of events and programs as part of the Fields of Grace team.

Essential Qualities

The right person for this position must be:

• Highly relational. This person genuinely enjoys people and is comfortable initiating conversations, building relationships, and maintaining connections over time.

• Personable and approachable. They should make people feel comfortable, welcomed, and valued.

• Mission-minded. They must genuinely care about the heart and mission of Fields of Grace and be able to communicate it authentically.

• Compassionate. Because this person will interact directly with Grace Guests, they must demonstrate sensitivity, discretion, empathy, and good judgment.

• Organized. This position involves many relationships, conversations, follow-ups, events, and moving pieces. Details cannot continually fall through the cracks.

• Prompt and responsive. Emails, phone calls, donor follow-ups, church connections, records, and requests from leadership should be handled in a timely manner.

• Reliable. Follow-through is essential. When this person says they will do something, the team, our Grace Guests, and our community partners need to be able to depend on them.

• Proactive. Rather than waiting to be told every next step, this individual should recognize opportunities, identify needed follow-up, and take initiative.

• A strong communicator. They should communicate comfortably and professionally in person, by phone, through email, and in front of groups.

• A team player. Fields of Grace is a hands-on ministry. This person should be willing to help where needed, especially during programs, events, and busy seasons.

Qualifications

• Strong alignment with the Christian mission, values, and ministry of Fields of Grace.

• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated organization, reliability, and follow-through.

• Comfortable meeting new people and initiating relationships.

• Comfortable interacting with donors, pastors, business leaders, volunteers, and Grace Guests.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Ability to manage multiple relationships and responsibilities simultaneously.

• Experience in nonprofit development, ministry, donor relations, community engagement, hospitality, sales, or relationship-based work is helpful but not required.

• Familiarity with Google Drive and basic digital organization systems.

• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and programs.

Donors feel connected to the mission and understand the impact of their generosity. Churches see Fields of Grace as a trusted ministry partner and know they can send women and families to us for care and restoration. Grace Guests feel welcomed and genuinely cared for. Community partners understand our mission and want to be part of it.

Internally, relationships and conversations are followed through on, important information is organized and accessible, the grant writer has what they need, and leadership can trust that responsibilities will be handled promptly and reliably.

Ultimately, this person helps build a strong community around Fields of Grace so that more people can receive the ministry and more people can participate in making that ministry possible.
